The Role:Reporting into and working alongside our Senior Wovens Designer Manager, you will design, develop and support the design process for multiple product categories within our Soft Wovens range. Managing the product from concept through every stage of the product life cycle.

Responsibilities:- Supporting and working alongside the Senior Designer and Design Manager to help create cohesive ranges and outfitting.
- Developing design concepts through inspiration and research to create a seasonal and on brand aesthetic. Translating inspirational ideas into a commercial and inspiring product.
- Researching trends by story; product category; colour, materials.
- Working alongside the Senior Designer to create mood-boards, colour palettes and vision of the season.
- Producing detailed tech-packs and liaising with factories confidently.
- Ensuring CADs and digital presentation documents are kept up to date.
- Working on PLM, our product life management system from Initial Tech-Pack through to Production - ensuring style information is kept up to date.
- Managing the fabric library - utilising your strong knowledge of woven fabrications
- Working closely with Buying Team to deliver a cohesive range in line with the target prices, quality and delivery objectives set out in the range plan; partnering to ensure effective selection and management of suppliers.
- Working effectively to critical path deadlines.
- Sourcing fabrics, jersey and trims in line with quality standards.
- Working closely with Technical Team to ensure that fabric and trims meet business performance and aftercare standards.
- Attending all fit meetings of first to sealed proto samples to ensure styles reflect expectations, quality, construction, correct fit and look.
- Actioning wash techniques requests, embroidery artworks and print strike-offs
- At least 2 - 3 years' experience in a soft Woven's focused role with a key specialism in Dresses, tops and skirts.
- Can-do, proactive approach with a strong eye for emerging design trends.
- Able to demonstrate a creative eye particularly for new and innovative silhouettes and print.
- Extensive experience in concept research.
- Excellent commercial market knowledge demonstrated through your design handwriting.
- Confident user of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and CAD proficient.
- In-depth knowledge of garment construction; jersey construction knowledge is an advantage but not essential.
- Demonstrated ability to partner across both the Design Team and the rest of the business.
- Experience in mentoring and developing junior team members.
- Expert knowledge of trims and fastenings.
- Attention to detail essential.
- Super organised multitasker.
- Ideally experienced user of PLM or similar system.
- Breadth of fabric knowledge - worked with creative, sustainable fabrications previously.
- Able to challenge appropriately.
