Your ‘day to day’
Provide senior management with expertise and advice on tobacco taxation within Brazilian markets, including day-to-day support to develop and implement fiscal strategies with the aim of assuring the profitability and viability of the company's commercial operations.
Engage with members of legislature and other holders of public office to raise awareness and promote balanced regulations on tobacco issues related to fiscal.

Major accountabilities
  • Provide analytical support to the Director and senior management regarding fiscal issues of Brazil to develop a strategy, comprehensive of present and future context, that impacts positively on business results.
  • Monitor new projects of law, decrees, resolutions, or other regulations before they are approved, in order to anticipate the potential impact on business profitability and suggest alternative strategies so as to prevent or consolidate their impact according to the case.
  • Develop an efficient network of governmental and trade stakeholders to actively advocate positions in line with the ones of PMB's, proposals on key elements of fiscal policy aimed at supporting PMI business in Brazil in line with the governments’ revenues objectives. X
  • Closely monitor legislative initiatives of the Governments' and state budget trends to predict possible directions on indirect tax legislation and develop relevant arguments supporting company’s positions. Ensure complete understanding of Governments' fiscal policies to better manage any discussion concerning excise tax matters.
  • Monitor/Analyze/Forecast business environment, to anticipate opportunities and challenges/threats to PMB business. Monitor initiatives/activities from third parties, Congress, competitors, WHO, local NGOs and Business Chambers, among others.

Who we’re looking for
  • College/University bachelor’s degree in economics, Finance or similar
  • At least 8 years of experience in corporate fiscal areas and/or FMCG with complex tax systems
