The role of Head of Workplace Solutions is part of our newly established Employee Experience team that serves as the center of expertise in our global People & Culture function. The Employee Experience team is responsible for developing our global workplace solutions, talent management, rewarding and people technology practices and processes. Our people is our most valuable asset and this team is there to build a workplace where our people can thrive both personally & professionally.
You will be responsible for overseeing the global workplace solutions and facilities operations to create an exceptional and sustainable employee experience. You will lead a team of eight workplace solutions professionals and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to ensure high quality office and facility services, strong governance, and a focus on sustainability. You will report to VP, Employee Experience. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in managing facilities, outsourcing to third-party vendors, and implementing sustainable practices in a global setting.
Key Responsibilities
Global Workplace Services: Oversee a range of workplace services, including maintenance, cleaning, security, reception, mailroom, and other related functions, to ensure efficient and high-quality operations
Vendor Management and Outsourcing: Create and execute the outsourcing of facilities services to third-party vendors, including contract negotiation, performance monitoring, and vendor relationship management, ensuring quality service delivery and cost-effectiveness
Workplace Planning and Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess workspace requirements, plan office layouts, and optimize space utilization, fostering collaboration, productivity, and employee well-being
Sustainability Initiatives: Drive sustainable practices across facilities operations, including energy efficiency, waste management, green building certifications, and promoting environmentally friendly workplace behaviors
- Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with local and international health and safety regulations, implement best practices, and maintain a safe working environment for all employees
- Budgeting and Financial Management: Develop and manage the facilities budget, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high-quality services
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of workplace solutions professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement
What are we looking for?
- Experience in facility and office services management in global context
- Strong knowledge of workplace solutions, facilities operations, and industry best practices
- Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Experience of budgetary compilation and fiscal management
- Drive and motivation for continuous improvement
- Independence and a positive can-do attitude
- Ability to work under pressure and fast-paced environment
- Ability to lead people and contribute to the development of your team
- Presentation and communication skills in English
